🚗💡 At FotoNation, We’re Revolutionizing Road Safety with AI.We’re excited to share the latest advancements which are underway in the realm of road safety, highlighted in a recent Irish Times article. In partnership with our collaborators at CameraMatics, we’re tackling a critical problem: fatigue-related crashes, which account for up to 20% of all road traffic incidents, and mobile phone distractions, which cause nearly 30%. Supported by over €6 million from Enterprise Ireland‘s Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund, together we are developing an AI-powered sensor designed to detect driver fatigue, distraction, and illness—without relying on traditional cameras. We’re proud to be leading innovation from our base in Galway and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in computer vision, edge AI, and automotive safety.
