The Motion Detection Engine, or MDE, is the IP core implementation of FotoNation’s motion analysis technology.
Starting from the coarsest level, motion information is analyzed and refined, so its accuracy increases with each level, until the last level is reached.
MDE is an enabling technology that provides an understanding of the local and global motion within the scene, then works together with Distortion Correction Engine (DCE) to provide outstanding results on all image processing pipelines.
